After a flurry of people puffing their chest out at me, saying they're going to sue me if I do not take down content posted about them, I have made some revisions to the site Terms and Conditions.
These changes are effective immediately, and govern all users on the site, new and future as of this date. If you disagree with these terms and conditions and wish your account to be deleted, please PM me, and I will handle that for you. By continuing to use your account, you are acknowledging your agreement of the on-going Terms and Conditions.
There is nothing in there that is Earth-shattering...much of the stuff we have been using day in and day out for the past seven years. But I did add in some language about the fact that, according to the Communications Decency Act, and subsequent caselaw, the owner or operator of an online service (such as a forum) cannot be held legally liable for the views and opinions expressed by users of that service.
That protection is afforded me whether or not I specifically state it in writing but, as I have had to send off more than one PM response to legal threats in recent weeks, I thought I'd put it out there for all to see.
Please also take this time to re-familiarize yourself with the other guidelines, as I have made tweaks here and there.
