My family is in the middle of a mt. bike trip down in Southern Utah, Moab exactly. One of the greatest places to ride in the world.
We pulled into the Slickrock parking lot yesterday to ride there & parked next to a motor home that had a bunch of kids & a few adults. After some small talk we hit the trail all about the same time. My son got chatting with the Dad and he said he was the T.O. for a BMX track. Next time I caught up to him we talked about our kids and his role in BMX. Sure enough, I met Lars Tribus from the Hunterdon County BMX track located in Flemington, New Jersey. He filled me in on his families epic trip so far, super nice guy & I *think* his wife was with him and she was very nice too. A lot of people on the trail was trippin about my 6 yr old daughter being out there and riding like a pro, I told him she's been racing since she was 3 and that prepared her for her 1st season of trail riding. He totally agreed. I was hoping to shoot the poop poop poop, I say again, poop, also, poop with him when we got back to the parking lot but they were gone. Great guy & it was pretty cool meeting up with fellow bmxers on a road trip.
