I don't know of Greg or Stu will chime in on this. Why didn't GT or Redline ever come out with a Signature frame for these guys? They were probably the two most popular guys in the sport. Other companies did them for their riders.

Thats a darn good question. SE and Huffy had Stu frames and SE had the GH Flyer but Redline and GT are what are most associated with those two. Those companies could have really raked it in too.

Cycle Pro even did a Greg Hill frame. Almost every other company had a signature frame: D-Back-Harry Leary SE-PK Ripper, OM CW-Pistol Pete Thruster-Judge, Burrows Hutch-Hollywood, Judge JMC-DY, AP Mongoose-Eric Rupe Profile-Shelby James
Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Like was said above I bet a ton of those frames would have sold.

SE had waay more signature frames than that...Henderson Hauler, The Bronco (Rod Beckering), DB-IV (Derek Brown), JU-6 (Jeff Uttterback)...but yeah you are right, signature frames were a huge way to get your name out there...might be a good question for Stu at Rockford.

I wonder if it was coincidence that GT introduced the Interceptor a few years after they parted ways with Nelson Chanady. If someone thought of him when naming the bike, that was a rotten thing to do.
