in the 80's, i remember being in and hearing a lot about different teams and riders attending parades, festivals and what not. but, i don't hear about that much anymore.

saturday, about 20 of us set out in a local parade. the parade was in a large community about an hour from the nearest local track (the city i grew up in actually).

we ended up passing out close to 1000 fliers, we had kids and parents lining up to get a flier and find out more info.

this just tells me that the interest is there, it would not take much initiative to get the info out there. if we get .5% of what we passed out in fliers to show up at a track, even that little return would totally be worth it. entering the parade was free, i spent $16 on candy, i printed off the fliers myself so that cost was minimal, a few hours of our time and all we had to do was have fun.

just letting everyone know that we had a very positive response and a lot of interest with just a parade.

here's some pics
