QUOTE Just to clarify, this is the Powder Puff Girls, new school way of honoring the older classification of girls/ womens, which was a Powder Puff class. Not a reference to the Powerpuff Girls of cartoon fame.
In case anyone was confused. I have seen many of girls race and they are more of POWERpuffs then anything..... LOL We at Clayborn will be doing what we can to support this effort, once again, Clayborn Factory BMX will be putting up the $500 for the Lady Pros Holeshot Shootout at the ABA Friday Night Pro Spectacular.... We are proud to also sponsor one the top Lady Pros in the ABA right now, "Insane" Brooke Crain..... Great job by all to put this together and we are proud to be a part of this..... Buntster

I personally like the Power Puff girls. They know whats good and until my girls; Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup send me a cease and desist I will keep telling people I saw them race bmx in the 80s. Did you know; Girls who participate in sports are less likely to drop out of school, more likely to go on to college, and more likely to graduate from college. They tend to avoid a whole host of risk-taking and self-destructive behaviors. Girl athletes have one of the lowest rates of tobacco use among any sector of the high-school population; they are less likely to abuse drugs; they are less likely to get pregnant, more likely to delay their first sexual experience, and have, on average, fewer sexual partners than girls who do not participate in sports. In addition, girls derive benefits from athletics that are difficult to measure objectively, such as confidence and self-esteem; they score higher on tests designed to gauge positive body image. Thank you for all of your support Buntster! Promoting bmx for girls is important. Show your support by wearing your Powder Puff Party at the ABA grands event T-Shirt on Friday November 27th. We are taking pre orders now. THEY WILL SELL OUT QUICKLY. IT TOOK LESS THAN 20 MINUTES AT THE NBL EVENT. PRE ORDER! SUPPORT GIRLS BMX

Update!! Dom Daniels, Stephanie Barragan, Alise Post, Jamie Lilly, and Brooke Crain have all confirmed that they will be signing autographs and available for pictures. If your favorite girl pro's name wasn't mentioned you should call her and ask her to come. The ABA does things bigger and better so it would be great for all of those little girls who really look up to the pro girls to have a few tables of girl pros to sign their t-shirt. There are 32 girl pros listed in the national standings for ABA. Would 25 girl pros be too many to hope for? ASK YOUR PRO TO GO!
T-shirts. Because of the cost (for me) in making the event t-shirts there will only be 100 made and brought to Tulsa that will be available for sale. I am sorry but as it stands now that is what I can do financially. This means if you want to be positive that you have an event shirt, email me directly at
lisamotley@hotmail.com
tell me your name, your phone number, and what size or sizes you want. If I have enough pre orders I can possibly justify ordering some additional ones. If you send me an email and let me know you want one (or 5) I will make sure I set it aside and bring it with me.
I contacted about 30 companies and so far about half have responded. I HAVE GOT SOME REALLY REALLY COOL STUFF for the free drawing. Bill Ryan from Supercross donated a "sammy cools" pink frame and today Pete Dylewski and Michelle Enriquez from Intense donated a junior pro frame also. I have heard back from Jeff DeVido and Brian Fell from MCS, Stuart Harrison from HRP designs, George Costa from Rennen, Todd Lyons from SE Racing, Jasen from mjt designs, Gork from Redline, and Richard Bunt from Clayborn and all have promised some kind of swag for our event. If you have a chance to visit these companies' websites please do so and thank them for supporting girls in Bmx. I hope with a little more time the rest of the companies will get back to me as well. I want to also thank Cathy Jayne and Jackie Altizer for all of their hard work. They have been in contact with a whole other list of sponsors who have donated items for our goodie bags or our drawing. I will make sure to give those people a thank you too.
Mike Carruth from vintagebmx.com, bmxnews.com, bmxnow.com, will be taking the pictures of the party guests and their favorite pro girl for free and the photos will be emailed.
What do we still need? Party food, such as cookies, cupcakes, chips, fruit tray, meat and cheese tray? Party food... Drinks, always drinks- anything in its own container, soda, gatoraid, bottled water, anything volunteers for the event - people who will be answering questions at the event, people to fill goodie bags, put drinks in coolers, people to hand out pens, people to help the little riders get in the right line to get a picture with their favorite girl pro, mike might need an assistant Pens- sharpies for signing and pens to sign up for the drawing Girl Pros- ASK YOUR PRO TO GO more swag- there is never too much swag. Even if it is just stickers for the goodie bags. Help us promote girls in BMX Candy for goodie bags If you own a company and would like to donate ANYTHING please let me know. Pre-Order your event t-shirt , I will bring it with me and then have it signed by the pros. In 20 years you will be uploading your pictures of the first Powder Puff Party at the ABA Grands on vintagebmx.com or selling it on EBAY. $ donations would be greatly appreciated. This will be a very large event. Contact me by email and I will put you and what you are bringing on a list so we make sure we don't all bring the same thing!
I just wanted to let you know I will be racing the womens 36-40? Girls cruiser class. I am from Florida so I don't know many of you ABA racers YET. Please come up and introduce yourself. I am looking forward to meeting all of you. If you are a woman who is interested in possibly starting to race I would be happy to answer all of your questions and I will even let you take my bike for a spin if you want.
Thank you again for your support. Lisa Motley #404
