Amanda Carr Prepares for the Olympic SeasonWith only four months until the start of the games in London, Florida's Amanda Carr is taking every available opportunity to prepare herself for the coming season. Currently sitting number 3 on the USA Cycling BMX Power Rankings, she is in a prime position to launch herself onto the 2012 Olympic team. Amanda is approaching the games with laser-like focus, setting aside all other BMX races in favor of the five upcoming UCI Supercross events. She has split her time between practicing at her home track of Charlotte BMX in Punta Gorda, Florida, where she is Track President and Chula Vista, California where she is being trained by Coach, Greg Romero.
Amanda Carr has been racing BMX for 15 years. She has won numerous races on the State, National and World Championship levels, with her first UCI World title in Paris 2005. She then grew into an elite Supercross racer scoring 5th place at the televised London Olympic test event in 2011.
Corsa Racewear is proud to promote the efforts of this dedicated athlete, and is happy to announce that Amanda has taken an interest in their 'Unleashed' line of clothing. She was impressed with the quality of the racewear and is thrilled to work with this emerging company. She will be wearing Corsa Racewear gloves and pants during her pursuit of Olympic glory.
