Didn’t someone, long ago, make a replacement clip? I’ve been searching. I have a pair of 1st gen OG chrome, but i’m missing one clip. I want to clean/restore them up, but it seems pointless until I have both clips.

I don't really know what you're talking about, really. Is it like a flat spring that snaps the stander up and down and locks it in position? You're not talking about the very early GT fork pegs that are cylindrical and shaped like a grip like huge motorcycle stands, right? Your'e talking about the later steel ones with no rubber on them because you said chrome, I'm thinking. They just have a GT stamp with wings on the triangular side... the ones before they cut "GT" into the side-view triangular peice? I'm just trying to get on the same page. I got a used set of those in the basement. I'll check them out next time I'm down there.

Yes, that is what I’m referring to.

I've seen several pairs of no-name fork standers that appear nearly identical to the gen you're referring to, but painted non-GT colors. Maybe Thailand, IDK. Probably near-identical to the flat springs you're looking for. I mean, if you're OK with repops I imagine you might like to get some Vintage replacements, ya know. I've got that pair I mentioned that I was going to put on eBay in a while when I find the one not on the display shelf. Used.

I haven't been around nor looking for those specific items so I am clueless as to anyone anywhere doing replacement springs. I didn't even know there was a Need for those repros. good luck. I had a pair of those on my very first REAL freestyle bike. Hearing the SNAP!/CLICK! action of the right stander (and the left one, for showmanship) when you were about to drop a Miami Hopper on 'em is an essential memory.
