Hi Lixy - good to see another member from BrisVegas on the site.

Christian - No probs mate, still looking for some more Stu FMF pics for u.

Glenn - did u get the Knox shirt?

Rather happy this arvo........my alloy Kingsbury pedals arrived today....oh yeah! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Same system as the plastic ones (no bearings...haha)....but does have "speed-holes" in the cages.
They are in great condition, but might do a mild resto on them.

They'd look grouse if you sharpened up the teeth and mirror polished them Mick (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Might be able to chrome the spindles too.

the dumbar$e original owner looks like he couldn't spell. His name seems to be Pat Pend and lived on Kingsbury Road but spelled that wrong.

That stuff should come out when you polish them though. Can't believe some people.

Do your plastic Kingsburys say "patent pending". You would think they probably wouldn't. The US patent office has a great searchable database which might help you track down a date.

Applied for patent Jan 2 1979. Granted Oct 7 1980.

Pedal could be a prototype - or if production, most likely made 79/80.

Yeah cool Mick. Great pick up.

Prototype would be '78 I guess. Though as the pedal is stamped "Patent Pending"you could assume it was made after the patent application was lodged in early Jan '79.

And as no-one has ever seen an alloy Kingsbury it'd have to be one of very few made early on.

So my tip is late 78/early 79. Extremely cool pedals.

Great condition too - those ends are awesome.
