Got this for dirt cheap, but cannot find much info on the bike. Serial number seems to indicate it being a '98 model. Bit of a tank, but the welds are nice and it should clean up well. Seems odd though that they were still putting quill stems and caliper brakes on it in '98! Any info on this model would be greatly appreciated.

I was a little out of the scene in the late 90's but I do remember Torker making a comeback. Their highend race model was aluminum, threadless and has canti mounts. I think what you have there is their entry level ride, more geared toward jumping. Still, it's a cool looking frame (forks are a little ugly IMO) and it looks like it will clean up real well.

Thanks for the input, figured it was more of an entry level bike. Not really my type of bike and glad to hear it is nothing special since I already gave it to a friend to fix up for his son.
