I figured that my red forks, bars and seat post were from the other General and they just gave me a Pro frame. I highly doubt that I will try to make it an "original", but just restore it to the way it was when I had it as new. Plus, I can imagine that finding the original Pro forks/bars would be impossible or $$$$.

I was going to mention that I wouldn't worry about restoring it to stock either. Just clean it up and replace the parts that are worn out. There are plenty of Hustler Pros still out there in stock condition, but there's only one that has all the parts you changed/upgraded back then. Survivors are much cooler, IMO.

Old post, I know. I have owned this bike since new. Does anyone have an idea of what it might be worth? I don't think that I would sell it, but you never know.

Thanks!

Also, if I keep it, I would like to clean it up over the winter. What works best for cleaning the mags?

It's been almost three years and you're only planning to clean it up?
The best answer regarding the value is "it's worth whatever someone pays for it".

Direct quote from the pinned topic at the top of this section:
"From our FAQ -

The true value of vintage bicycles and components can be difficult to determine. Unlike other "collectibles", there isn't a BMX pricing guide. A fair price is one that will make you happy when you buy or sell something. If you are happy with a price, then that price determines the value of your item.

Bottom line: It's worth whatever you can buy it for or get someone to pay for it. VintageBMX.com is a resource for vintage BMXers, a pricing guide it is not.

If you're not sure what that price should be, consider an auction. If you don't want to sell it because it's really worth more than money to you, we understand completely. We're more interested in the attachment to BMX, and the value of that is beyond money. "

Yea, time flies by. It just sits in the basement out of sight. I'm sure it will stay with me. I doubt it would be worth enough money for me to sell it.

Thanks

Bored today and found my old post...

Well, sad to say but almost 4.5 years later it still sits in the basement. Funny how time flies.

It's almost Spring. Take it apart, spit and polish every piece. Grease up every point of friction and reassemble.
