hey neil, the rebel brand came out of texas but aside from that bit of info, i don't know the rest. back in about '83-'84 i raced a lot in louisiana....the rebel factory team were regulars at the cajun nationals and regional races. if i come across any thing else that will help i'll post it--

Started by Bernie Anderson, the father of B.A. at the ABA. I've talked to B.A. at races about this. I've also talked to Bernie since he still resides in San Antonio. Bernie says he had a local San Antonio guy welding them. The early frames looked kind of like a GT without the top tube pircing the seat tube deal. There was a guy or company that bought the name towards the end of Rebel, which would have been around the mid 1980's, tried to keep it going but it fizzled out. The frames became MCS-like or Cycle Craft-like, with the dropouts under the chain stays. This was all after the B. A. stint with Texas' own "Blazer", a seperate frame manufacturer out of Lufkin. I know a little about it, maybe. Decals: somebody needs to repro them, that's for sure.
