Short version: I liked it it, it worked fine.

Slightly longer version: Pulled off the White and put the ACS on. The ACS is narrower, so I didn't need to go back with the spacer/washer I used to keep the frame out of the way.

Worked, really, great. Maybe if you got a ruler out you'd find out it has a tiny bit of up-down wobble compared to the White, but that's about it. It's obviously of higher quality construction just to play with it.

During gate practice I heard one crunch out of it, like a typical ACS break-in thing, but otherwise no problem all day. In fact as far as riding goes, no diff between it and the White, and I rode it hard every lap.

I'll write up a longer review for the mag, but based on price point especially, plus this being a company which supports BMX, looks like a win for ACS.

Also, took a hella' face plant today which got me knocked out and an ambulance ride, so I don't feel much like writing at the moment. (It wasn't the freewheel's fault.)

Dang E! Did you get some high quality oxygen out of the ambulance ride at least? Good to hear about the new ACS fw though. Going to be needing some soon.

Be curious to see how long it lasts. BTW, we are working with White Industries to work with our track. They seem real excited about it.

I'm kind of weirded out this thread didn't get more play after the ACS announcement (and the attendant hurr fest) earlier.

The freewheel's probably going to stay on the bike through Grands if you want to check it out while I'm there.

Cause it's someone reputable proving something positive... give it some time...I'm sure someone will start the negative bashing..

Just to keep the conversation going:
I was prepared not to like the new freewheel tool. It splines on the internal of the wheel instead up across four teeth on the outside.

It works, however, a lot better with the new style. You don't have to do the trick of using your axle nut to hold the tool on, since it gets such a deep bite into the freewheel, and it didn't get in the way of the cones on my Crupi hubs, which have big cones.

That trade is worth it, in my opinion.
