Vintage Road Bike Site, Any suggestions?

www.cyclofiend.com has vintage touring,single speeds and working bikes.
great sight with a fair number of vintage racing bikes also.

I don't remember the name of the company (Cinelli maybe) that made a high end lugged BMX frame that was drop dead sexy. With the correct mix of parts it looked every bit as nice as any road bike of the day.

Anyone have some good info on 70's Bridgestone Kabuki road bikes? Are these bikes worth restoring any more than others? I ran across a couple Speedways and am wondering what to do with them. The components are OK but nothing special (SR). Thought about parting them out for a couple mini builds I have in the works. When it comes to vintage road bikes I'm partial to the Schwinn Continentals, Le Tours and Paramounts.

I have found that in the world of road bikes - the Japanese stuff isn't worth much. I got an early Japanese Raleigh - a late 70's/early 80's road bike - and it was a garbage pile snag. I put about 200 into restoring it, and it sold on eBay for 200. It was beautiful and rode great - just not worth much. I'm sure there are exceptions (first production years, etc), but it seems European bikes are the most collectible...at least by comparison to Japanese.

Good info, thanks. Was all Raleigh production moved to Japan or just some? What are the best years to have?

I would guess that the most coveted vintage road bikes are the Italian fallowed by the English and then maybe the early Paramounts?

I have had some early 1st-2nd year Treks go for some good coin

I've been looking for one of these for awhile; a 70's era Peugeot PX-10 that I can convert to a singlespeed. I just love the decal kit, Reynolds 531 tubing, and classic fully lugged frame.
