Sekai means "world" in Japanese, and is the S in SR (Sekai Ringyo) which you may have seen laying around in your parts bin.

Wow, another GAIJIN here. Always cool to run into another fellow Gaijin,Gaikokujin or Gaikokunohito. Not the most expensive bike around in those days, but definetely very cool and probably quite rare now I would guess. Very cool!!

Hi folks - new to this site. Very cool. Would love to locate this Sekai frame, as it is the same one I had as a kid. Does it still live? Is it available?
Any leads much appreciated.
Mike

I believe it is a Sekai, first generation around 1976. I found a second gen version, i believe and recently tossed it :/
I did a site and tried contacting the founder of sekai in another forum but he didnt reply.
Check out my site http://sekaibmx.wordpress.com and you find your bike and mine were same minus lower gusset. Just like Mongoose got rid of their lower gusset but bike remained same.

The knock offs seemed to vary a little. Like the Ross Replica had two tubes joining the BB nd a plate over it. Id bet anything that was made by the people who made Norcos, BRC ? and Raleighs in Canada
