Mike,

Great to hear from you ! Man, you, Bret and the Battle brothers were a "fixture" at PXA for a couple of years mid seventies. I'm sure I've got some results/stories with you in it. I'm busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest right now, but I'll post em up ASAP.

BTW....look at page 1 "Winternationals" results......WHO DAT beating Davidow, Mingus, Clark in the 14 Ex !!!! no shame in finishing behind Utterback either....those are some big "names" !!!

Best of Everything, Lee

More stuff...First race in Yuma 1977 and PXA results 1976.

I had just lost a HUGE race at Trabuco Canyon on Sat. to some guy named Greg Hill..... I was traveling with the Flemming family and Carl (Kyle's dad) was giving me the "business" The whole way from Trabuco to Yuma and I was P.O.'d. The poor S.O.B.s in Yuma got an angry thumping Sunday just so I didn't have to hear it from Carl all the way back to PHX.

http://www.bmxhosting.com/is.php?i=2508&img=IMG_2249.JPG

Hello, I was reserching some vitage mongoose stuff and your conversation on Bryon Curnel came up, I have a 76 mongoose which I bought from a friend back in 77-78 no later he raced bmx and was sponsered he lived in Alameda county last name of Porter. His dad's name Les they were in big time hit all the races anyway I got the frame fr him he told me he had a friend that had one he told me the story that someone raced it' been so long ago the story I really can't remember evrything that he said, and so when I was looking up the serial #'s above the "C H 6" was stamped 05 BRY being the second owner could this possibly be a team riders frame I spoke with vintage mongoose, and I was told in fact sme did do that if any one knows stuff in this area I would love to hear it thank you.

Interesting,
I don't know anything about the mongoose stamping (there is a Mongoose serial # thread). However, that would be very cool if you could link that to a "factory" sponsored frame. Nice frame either way....best of luck.
