Pretty much the only way a rider gets in the HOF is to win titles, mainly pro titles. Totally understandable, but this sport is comprised mainly of amateur riders. Do you think there should be a category for the riders that don't have the national titles, but have done a ton for the sport? I'm thinking of guys like Brent Lee, no national titles, but more points than anyone on earth or a guy like Mike Savage, that doesn't hit every national but continues to hit every track in the country just for the fun of it. I'm sure there are tons of riders with the credentials to deserve to be in the HOF but never will be. Also, you usually only get in after you are done racing, but there are tons of riders that continue to race because they love it, so they might not ever quit. Thoughts?
