I have spent a number of years researching & collecting Redline & Supermax CrMo serial numbers from ebay/swap meets & online forums. I believe your serial would have a 1 in front. I have found 2 other NZ made serials both beginning with 1326 & 1 serial beginning with 1726(but possibly 1326 if it was misread). The very interesting thing about the NZ frames is the Redline downtube sticker has a black line thru the middle instead of red.
Many of the Australian made MXII frames have either no serial or 6 digit serials on the inside dropout beginning with 003 or 004. The no serial frames usually have a Redline oval stamp on the bb. The 6 digit serials look like machine stamped numbers. There is also reports of 4 or 5 digit serials which I havent seen but I have seen Supermax CrMo frames with 4 digit serials on the dropouts or the bb and they looked like hand stamped numbers.
I am yet to work out any timeline but will guess around 1981/82.
