Update....

Indy Indoor had 44 motos at their race last Sat. night and has had over 24 motos at every local this season.

New bleachers are installed. The entire facility has been painted. All of the spectator area is swept clean. The track was groomed and Soil-Tak applied. A new concession area is ready with a bigger selection.

The indoor track has major changes ready for people to see!

Also, on March 26th we will be hosting the first round of the Indiana State series. State series details can be found on IndianaBMX.com. We will be broadcasting that race as well.

The lease should be finalized by the end of the week. Shooting for first practice on Wednesday November 2nd if all goes well.

Do you plan on resurfacing the track (especially the turns), I know it was pretty beat up at end of last year.

If/when anything is done to the track, the turns are first on the list. Maybe take the top 5" or so off and redo it, kind of like Streiby and the crew did during the National last year on some spots, but for most of the turn??

No one has been in the place since closing last spring. Hope the track hasn't been messed with in any way by vagrants. That will be a set back if so. We'll see in the next few days.

WE HAVE NEWS !!!!

Building management has finally decided to let the track open until the building is demolished, which shouldn't happen until the end of the indoor season, or mid summer. With that hurdle past, all the other ducks have been lining up nicely. Getting the keys (last duck) on the 28th, getting set up that week, and planning on first practice on Friday, Dec 2nd, 6-10 pm.

We will be scheduling work sessions that first week, so if anyone is interested in helping do whatever is needed to get the place in shape, please email us at: Info@IndyActionBMX.org.

Rent did increase, so a facility fee will be necessary. $8 per rider for practice and race days (Additional ABA race fees will be whatever they require). Race schedule is being worked on and we hope to know details by the first practice.

That's what we know at this time. If the sky or building doesn't fall in the next week, the track will be open once again!

After 13 or 14 years, this Saturday, April 28th, will be the last race in the current (Crossroads/Indy Indoor) building. It is the second stop on the 2012 Indiana State series, so it is a Double pointer. Come on out and have some fun and say farewell to the current building.

Here is the latest report on the big building, which the track is in. Plans are underway to secure a different building and get a track built so Indoor racing in Indy is not interrupted.
