Lube Options

I just want to know what the most do you using the lube on chains?

White lightning? WD-40? Tri-Flow?

I've just started using a brand called Spin Power. They have a wax one that doesn't need shaking to keep all the wax from settling in the bottom. Good stuff. Saw it for sale in Morristown.

I've had real good luck with DuPont Teflon Multi-Use Dry, Wax Lubricant(aerosol can). I found it at Lowes. needed something just to get us by. Turned out that it works well and not expensive.

well oregon is a special sort of muddy/dirty nasty..... I use wd40 to clean because the tracks are either dusty or muddy and the drive home is either dustier or super wet...so its my weapon of choice. I usually spray it on liberally then wipe it as clean as possible.

Best stuff out there in my opinion. Repells dirt, cleans the chain and keeps thinks quiet unlike a lot of other dry lubes.

Ahhh I found one the Park Tool CL-1 (PTFE) looks good. I couldn't find it anywhere BUT I can go to the LBS to ordering it for me.

I use that also, but it's kinda hard to apply it precisely without splattering or dripping so now I use it only for chains. For the other stuff like pivots and cables I use Tri-Flow.
